It’s with disappointment that we announce the passing of Robert Kenneth Beckwith on November 8, 2024 in Barrie, Ontario. He can be missed by daughter Patricia Dickson (John), grandchildren, Sarah and John, his sister Joyce Beckwith and his partner, Myrtle Beckwith, in addition to many nieces & nephews in Nova Scotia and the US. Preceded in demise by daughter Jennifer.
Born November 4th, 1942 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Robert moved to Halifax, the place he married Myrtle and loved his profession as a Respiratory Therapist on the Victoria Common Hospital. He was an lively member of the Nova Scotia Coronary heart and Stroke Basis, coaching trainers in CPR for a few years. After retiring, Robert took up curling on the Mayflower Curling Membership in Halifax. He moved to Barrie, Ontario, in 2001 to be near his daughter Patricia & her household. There he loved curling on the Barrie Curling Membership and serving to out his group on the native ‘fix-it squad’.
Due to his pals and staff at Mulcaster Mews for his or her care & companionship prior to now few years. Particular thanks notably to the Woods Park staff for his or her wonderful compassion and care on the finish of his life.
A personal household service can be held in Nova Scotia at a later date.
