Officers arrested a person accused of being impaired after he allegedly drove himself to the Barrie police station.
Police say the accused drove to headquarters on Fairview Highway Thursday evening to ask whether or not a member of the family was in custody.
The officers on responsibility reported the person displayed “apparent indicators of impairment” and positioned him below arrest.
A breathalyzer technician then confirmed the accused was impaired, police say.
The 33-year-old man was charged with impaired operation and handed a 90-day licence suspension. The automobile he arrived on the police station in was additionally towed to an impound yard for seven days.
