Incident particulars

Individuals have reportedly been transported to hospital with various accidents following a multi-vehicle collision on Freeway 11 within the Orillia space — north of Barrie.

Simply after 9:20 a.m. ET on Feb. 7, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) posted on X (previously Twitter) that southbound lanes of the freeway between Previous Barrie Highway and Coldwater Highway had been closed for a multi-vehicle collision.
In line with Ontario Chronicle, as many as 50 automobiles may need been concerned within the crash.
Orillia transit buses are getting used to maintain affected motorists heat and transport them to security.
Tow vehicles are making their strategy to the world to get well automobiles that left the roadway and entered a ditch.

Investigation updates

The reason for the multi-vehicle collision stays beneath investigation. The Orillia space was beneath a snow squall warning on the time of the incident.
