ALLISTON, Ont. — Police say a 16-year-old has been charged with homicide after a new child was discovered deceased at a house in New Tecumseth, Ont.
Ontario Provincial Police say the teenager was arrested Wednesday, nearly two months after the infant was discovered deceased.
The teenager from New Tecumseth, a city between Barrie and Toronto, has been charged with first-degree homicide and indignity to a physique.
Police say officers discovered the new child deceased on the afternoon of Nov. 21 at a house in Alliston, the city’s largest group.
The case was initially being investigated as a suspicious demise earlier than it was dominated a murder.
Police say the accused teen was set to seem earlier than a courtroom in Barrie on Thursday.
