Authorities report that a man from Innisfil is facing charges related to seven shooting events that occurred at homes throughout the Greater Toronto Area and in London over the summer.
These incidents happened between August 18 and September 10 in Brampton, Vaughan, and London.
According to police, they believe the suspect fired a total of 125 shots during these occurrences.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of any of the shootings.
The suspect was taken into custody early on September 10 after officers responded to reports of gunfire near Bathurst Street and Teston Road in Vaughan.
“Officers responded quickly and attempted to contain the suspect vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was arrested with the assistance of the canine unit,” a news release issued on Tuesday morning notes.
Police indicate that the suspect was initially charged for offenses related to the September 10 shooting and has now been “linked” to other shooting incidents as well.
Kaejean Isaiah Doman, age 23, is now facing six additional counts of discharging a firearm with intent and six more counts for possessing prohibited or restricted firearms, according to law enforcement.
Authorities state that Doman has been held in custody since his arrest on September 10.
The charges against him have not yet been tested in court.
“Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have video surveillance or dash cam footage from those areas at the time of the shootings to please come forward,” police said in the news release.
