The family of William Charles Moore is heartbroken to share that he passed away peacefully while watching a Blue Jays game at his home in Hogarth Riverview Manor on the evening of June 10, 2026. He was born on October 6, 1937.

After retiring from CP Rail, he spent most of his time living in Schreiber, Ontario. He is survived by his brother Mike Glad (Sue) and their family, as well as his sister Colleen Glad and her family.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Zuba Moore, along with his brother Robin Moore and sister Marlene Donahue. Also among those who have passed are brothers-in-law Norman Donahue and Norman Glad.

Bill is also survived by sons Barry (Angela) Forbes and Brent Forbes from Thunder Bay. He returned to Thunder Bay in July 2024 to receive better health care and to spend more quality time with his sons.

His friends from coffee shops in both Schreiber and Thunder Bay were very important to him. He truly valued the moments spent with them. We extend our gratitude for their friendship and support. Bill also leaves behind many wonderful nieces and nephews.

We would like to express our appreciation to the staff at the Transitional Care Unit of Thunder Bay Regional Hospital, as well as the team at Birch Grove unit of Hogarth Riverview Manor for their care.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service held. A private family scattering of his remains will take place later this summer in Gurney, Ontario.

Funeral arrangements have been made through Northwest Funeral Alternative. Condolences can be shared at www. nwfainc. com
