The Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a homicide that occurred in the Town of Renfrew after a person was shot and killed at a residence on Friday night.
Officers received a call about the incident at a home on Vimy Boulevard just before 10:30 p. m. and found an individual with gunshot wounds.
The victim, who has not been identified by police, was taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

According to OPP, the suspect left the scene prior to their arrival and they believe this was a targeted attack in an isolated case.
Residents of Renfrew should expect to see more police presence in the area as the investigation is still in its early stages.
The police are also encouraging anyone who notices suspicious behavior to report it.
