Barrie police are still looking for a dog that attacked several individuals around 8:45 Monday morning, including an 11-year-old boy who was riding his scooter at the time.
Authorities say the incident occurred near Essa Road and Loggers Run.
The dog is described as a large bully breed, possibly a mastiff, with light brown fur and a red leash attached to its collar.

Investigators mention that the dog was spotted in multiple locations on Monday; first tracked to Loggers Run and then later around Patterson Road and Florence Park before sightings were reported near Dove Crescent.
Police indicated there hasn’t been any sighting since Monday afternoon.
The dog reportedly attacked the boy as he attempted to flee from it. The child sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where he is currently receiving care.
“Officers are working to contact the dog’s owner, who will be investigated and charged as appropriate. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has been notified,” police shared in a news release on Tuesday.
Police are asking anyone who was bitten by the dog to reach out.
If you see the dog roaming free, they advise contacting them immediately at 705-725-7025 and not approaching or attempting to catch it.

Barrie Police continue their efforts in finding a dog they say attacked several people, including a child.
In an update given Monday afternoon, police noted that the last sighting of the dog was near Tiffin Street and Ferndale Drive around 12:30 p. m.
They describe the dog as a light brown bully breed with a red leash attached.
“Anyone who sees the dog is urged to contact Barrie Police at 705-725-7025. Do not approach or try to contain,” police stated in a social media post.
