We’re deeply saddened to announce that Graydon handed away at Andy’s Home Hospice, on August 4, 2024, along with his loving spouse of just about 60 years, and his three youngsters by his facet.
His final days have been full of affection and laughter, tales and songs as he loved the various visits and calls from his innumerable family and friends members.
Graydon is survived by his spouse Irene, his youngsters Jonathan & Shelley, Susan & Chris and Jason & Jeanette and his grandchildren Jordan, Victoria, Josh, Adam, Lila, Hannah, Charlotte and Graydon. He was predeceased by his siblings Religion, Trevor, Neil and Malcolm and might be enormously missed by the youthful siblings Gwen & Jim, Liz & Garth, Ian & Bonnie, and his expensive in-laws, George, Mary Jean, Betty-Kay and Lee and his many nieces and nephews.
Graydon grew up in Vankoughnet, attended Bracebridge Highschool and graduated from UofT along with his Phys. Ed. degree. He pursued a profession educating highschool and training soccer and basketball. Finally he returned to his roots and started his building, logging and saw-milling years, plus constructing and working a summer season camp for kids. In his “spare” time he and Irene owned and operated a campground for 43 years. His dream of a youngsters’s camp continues right now as Camp Wenonah carries on his legacy. Hundreds of kids all through the world have benefited from the ripple impact of Graydon’s imaginative and prescient.
Graydon was famend for telling considerably tall tales and his savant like reminiscence for names, native family tree and poetry.
