St. Thomas, Ont., police are looking into a shooting that occurred at a southwest-end home early Tuesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Erie Street and Talequah Street shortly after 1 a. m. ET when neighbors reported hearing gunfire, which led them to discover evidence of shots fired.
“At this time, police believe this was a targeted incident, with no threat to public safety,” police said in a statement.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities mentioned they would be patrolling the area as the investigation unfolds and asked the public to keep their distance.
