We are heartbroken to share that Kenneth Arthur Mayrand passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on March 27, 1944, in Windsor, Ontario. Kenneth was the proud son of Lawrence and Rita Mayrand (nee Parent). He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Florence Mayrand (Nee Pitre), who held a special place in his heart. He is also predeceased by his in-laws Norman and Blanche Pitre. Kenneth is survived by his dedicated children, Todd (Kellie), Brian, and Scott (Gina Lambrose), along with his beloved grandchildren: Nolan, Matthew, Chad, Haley, and Trevor. His family meant everything to him, and he took great joy in cheering on his grandchildren through all their adventures. Kenneth had a strong bond with his siblings: Beverly (Martin (D)), Jeanne (Don), and Louise (Cliff), as well as many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. He enjoyed lifelong friendships too, especially with Gaetane and Tony Menard, who were like family to him. Kenneth’s friendly nature made him well-loved among many families and friends in the Mc Quaby Lake community, the Town of Tecumseh, and along Shawnee Road. For 40 years, Kenneth worked at Chrysler Canada. He was a passionate hockey coach who helped guide many young athletes in Tecumseh. As a member of the Friday Knights Hockey Club for 30 years, he contributed greatly to the team spirit. His hobbies included fishing and bird watching in his backyard-activities that brought him peace and happiness. Those who knew him will remember his playful side as a jokester-a testament to his kind-hearted nature that brightened the lives around him. Kenneth shared an amazing marriage with Florence for 57 years after they wed on October 8, 1966. Their love for each other stood out to everyone around them as an example of partnership built on support and respect. Kenneth’s passing has left a significant gap in the hearts of family members and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh for their kindness during Kenneth’s time there.
