Royce Hall passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, after a brief stay at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home.
Born on October 30, 1941, to Benjamin Hall and Letitia (Nee Whyte) Hall, Royce was their pride and joy. He often shared stories about his time in the Canadian Navy, visiting distant places like China, and being part of the Canadian Legion. Royce worked as a hospital orderly in Winnipeg where he met Eunice Gieb. They got married on May 22, 1965, and welcomed their three children a few years later. He then joined Canada Post and moved his family to Stony Mountain, where Eunice still resides today.
Later on, Royce returned to Dauphin and married Betsy Toews. They lived in Dauphin until a few years ago when they moved to Newdale. After Betsy’s passing, Royce stayed in Newdale until his health began to decline and he needed personal care.
Royce is survived by his three children: Renea (Stan) Engen of Dauphin, Dannielle Hall of Stony Mountain, and Randy Hall of Winnipeg. He also leaves behind grandchildren Sarah (Derek) Weigelt from Everett, Washington; Sharla (Jayme) Griffiths from Mc Lean, Saskatchewan; Jeannie Hall from Stony Mountain; Heidi Hall; Wendy Hall; and Jackson Hall from Winnipeg. Additionally, he has two great-grandchildren along with extended family and stepchildren Wendy, Carmen, Sandi, their husbands and friends.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home for their compassionate care during Royce’s final days. They also thank friends and family who supported him during this time.
Cremation has taken place with interment planned for a later date.
