Durham police report that there’s no danger to public safety following the discovery of two deceased individuals in a home in Whitby, while two others were taken to the hospital.
Authorities were dispatched to the vicinity of Fallingbrook Street and Taunton Road East for what was described as a sudden death.
Upon their arrival, officers found that a 62-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man had been pronounced dead. The other two individuals transported to a local hospital had their ages and genders not immediately disclosed.
Whitby Fire Services also responded to perform environmental hazard assessments, confirming that the area was safe.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out on both deceased individuals, and the investigation remains active. Investigators maintain that there is no risk to public safety.
