In loving memory of Renald Gagnon March 6, 1951 – February 9, 2026
We are saddened to share that Renald Gagnon passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born in Ville Marie, Quebec. He is now reunited with his parents Noel and Jeanne Gagnon in heaven. Renald was a devoted husband to Juliette Gagnon (nee Lesperance) and a proud father to his four children: Katherine Di Cesare, Noel Gagnon, Kevin Gagnon, and Rachelle Gagnon. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Nunzio Di Cesare, Chantalle Gagnon, Katrina Williams, Anthony Gagnon, and Christian Gagnon. He will be missed by his brothers Laurent Gagnon, Marcel Gagnon, Ghislain Gagnon, Rejean Gagnon, Real Gagnon, and Real Lapierre. He was also a caring brother to sisters Denise Gagnon and Sylvie Lapierre-Fraser.
Renald worked as a driver for Victoria Steel for many years before retiring. He was proud to be a member of the Knights of Columbus as both a 3rd and 4th Degree Member for several years. His greatest joys included spending time with his best friend Rusty (his dog) and playing Bingo.
Every weekend he enjoyed glamping with his wife Juliette. Thursday nights were special for him; he looked forward to “Mans Night,” where he played darts with his sons Noel and Kevin along with friends and family. Occasionally he attended classic car shows with his son Noel and brother Marcel. His daughters Katherine and Rachelle will miss their shopping trips together. Renald was always ready to lend a hand when his son-in-law Cesare Di Cesare needed help with trucking duties.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Central Chapel) at 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7234). A visitation will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2:00 – 5:00pm and again from 7:00 – 9:00pm with Parish Prayers at 8:30pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 13 from 10:30am until the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave.). In memory of Renald, donations may be made to The Hospice of Windsor/Essex County. Online condolences and shared memories can be found at www. windsorchapel. com
