The Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, along with the University Planning Office, is dedicated to facilitating an open and inclusive budget process that will help set TMU’s priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

To support this goal, we have organized several in-person and virtual budget town hall meetings. These sessions are designed to give TMU community members a chance to share their thoughts and learn more about the current situation, opportunities, and economic factors influencing planning for the 2026-27 academic year:

Town hall #1
Date: Monday, March 2, 2026
Time: 4-5 p. m.
Location: Kerr Hall South, Room 335

Town hall #2
Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2026
Time: 6-7 p. m.
Location: Zoom (external link) , ID: 995 6173 8246, Passcode: townhall

Town hall #3
Date: Thursday, March 12, 2026
Time: 1-2 p. m.
Location: DMZ Sandbox, SLC, 3rd Floor

We encourage everyone in our community to join one of these sessions to find out how TMU plans to approach budgeting for the next academic year and share their input. No need to register or RSVP.

Guiding principles

At TMU, we follow five key principles when preparing our annual budget:

Prioritize students; Protect TMU’s core business; Be fair and transparent; Remain forward-looking; and Conduct wide consultations with the community.

If you want more details, please check out the university’s budget website. For any questions you may have, feel free to reach out at budget@torontomu. ca.

I truly value our community’s continued dedication to the university and look forward to your participation in this essential process.

Roberta Iannacito-Provenzano
Provost and Vice-President, Academic
