Ursula Rose Marie Benoit (nee Savoie)
March 10th, 1925 – December 7th, 2025
She was a loving mother to Nancy Benoit and was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Benoit (1992) and son David Benoit (2001). Ursula is survived by many caring nieces and nephews.
Ursula retired from Canada Post right after Clifford finished at Ford. The couple enjoyed annual vacations in West Palm Florida. She was a lifelong member of Ste. Anne’s Church and dedicated 75 years to the Catholic Women’s League. Additionally, she was part of R. C. Legion branch 261 for 40 years.
As Ursula got older, it took a community to help keep her at home, and the family wants to express their gratitude for all the support. Special thanks to Doug Pitre (Sharon), Rose Marceau, Shelley Bobbie (Brian), Gerald and Donna Seegar for bringing Sunday Holy Communion.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Debbie Laforet (Dan) for her unwavering dedication and countless hours of care over the last few months that allowed Ursula to stay in her home, as well as to Jeannine Renaud-St. Louis for supporting her daughter Nancy.
Visitation in honor of Ursula will take place at Windsor Chapel – Banwell Location (11677 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor, ON) on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 2 pm to 7 pm. Visiting will continue at Ste. Anne’s Church on Monday, December 12, 2025 from 10 am until 11 am with Mass following afterward. In line with Ursula’s wishes, cremation will occur and she will be laid to rest at Ste. Anne’s Cemetery later on.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Society of Saint Vincent De Paul or the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 261. Online condolences can be expressed at www. windsorchapel. com
