A 14-year-old is facing charges after Harmony Heights public school in Oshawa was placed on a hold and secure this week due to threats received.
Officers responded to the school Thursday afternoon, arriving with a strong police presence and a K9 unit.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Police later concluded that the threat was just a prank and are encouraging parents to discuss such matters with their children.
The youth has been arrested and charged with criminal harassment, mischief, endangerment, and more.
