Edgar “Eddy” Charles Mann, 53, from Quebec, Canada, passed away on September 17, 2025. Born on July 6, 1972, Eddy was a dedicated man who spent his career as an owner-operator of his own semi truck. Working with Deck X, he took pride in transporting loads from Canada to various parts of the United States. The open road was not just work for him – it was his life. Eddy found happiness in the miles he drove, the sights he experienced, and the friendships he built along the journey.
Eddy had a talent for making people smile. He had a quick wit and always lit up the room with his humor and laid-back personality. When he wasn’t driving, he loved being outdoors; fishing, camping, and enjoying nature were some of his favorite pastimes with friends. Above all else, family meant everything to him. Being “Grandpa” brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren Zachary Mann, Olivier Mann, and Onyx Stamina – always eager to spoil them and create wonderful memories.
Eddy is survived by his loving wife Lise Mann and their children: Phillipe Mann (Cynthia Miles), Nathan Mann, Rachel Mann, Chantal Stamina (Jordan), and Eric Whissell. He will also be greatly missed by his parents Kevin Mann and Denise Meloche; his sister Kimberly Mann (Ghislain Vernier); step-sister Lori Mann; step-brother Stewart Pecarve; and of course his loyal dog Bruno who was always by his side.
Those who knew Eddy will remember him for his warmth, sense of humor, and down-to-earth personality. He leaves behind countless stories from the road along with cherished memories shared with family and friends-a legacy of love that will stay alive in their hearts forever.
