Peel Regional Police report that seven individuals have been charged in relation to a fatal home invasion that occurred in October 2024, resulting in the death of a 55-year-old man from Mississauga, Ont.

According to police, on Oct. 1, 2024, gunfire erupted at a residence located near Joan Drive and Central Parkway Drive around 3:40 a. m. They claimed four masked intruders entered the home and confronted those inside while demanding cash and valuables.

During this encounter, homeowner Ruo Zhou Wei, aged 55, was shot and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Additionally, two other individuals sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening conditions.
