Police report that two individuals engaged in a “physical altercation” with intruders who allegedly entered their Oakville home and took the keys to their Land Rover.
Halton police state that three suspects remain at large following the reported break-in on April 7. According to officials, the suspects-one armed with a ‘large knife’-forced entry into a residence located in the Randall Street and Watson Avenue area (near the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Trafalgar) around 11 p. m.
Authorities claim the suspects confronted both adult male and female residents of the house, insisting they hand over the keys to a Land Rover parked outside. A struggle broke out before the intruders found the keys and escaped in the residents’ vehicle.
Police indicated that the male resident suffered minor injuries.
All three suspects are described as males dressed in dark clothing and wearing face masks.
The getaway vehicle is characterized as a light-coloured sedan thought to be a Honda Civic.
