A man from Pickering, Ontario has been charged following a drug trafficking investigation in Belleville. Members of Project Renewal carried out a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant in the east end of Belleville with help from the Belleville Police K9 and Emergency Response Unit on Sunday. Among the items taken were some cocaine, Oxycodone pills, Canadian cash, and packaging materials. Twenty-six-year-old Michael Currie from Pickering faces charges for: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxy Contin Proceeds of crime under $5000 He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
