A much-loved tapas-style food event that began in 2023 is making a comeback this July for its fourth year, bringing together culinary creativity, live music, and history for an unforgettable evening on July 9 in Oshawa.

Bougee Bites, run by Oshawa Tourism, has taken place at the Robert Mc Laughlin Gallery since it started, but this year it will move from one of Canada’s largest collections of art to a new venue among the iconic tanks and armored vehicles at the Canadian Tank Museum.

The event will be held from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. on July 9, transforming one of Oshawa’s most famous locations into an immersive after-hours dining experience.

Boujee Bites 2026 allows guests to wander through the museum at their own pace while enjoying handpicked food samples from some of Oshawa’s top local restaurants and cafes. Food samples are included with admission, encouraging attendees to discover new favorites while celebrating the city’s lively culinary scene.

<p Adding to the ambiance, the evening will feature live music inspired by the era that takes guests back to the 1940s, enhancing the museum’s historic backdrop and creating a sensory-rich experience. The mix of music, culinary delights and access to one of North America’s largest collections of operational military vehicles makes for a setting that is both “unexpected and memorable,” according to Oshawa Tourism Executive Director Krista Licsi.

“Boujee Bites continues to showcase Oshawa’s creativity by pairing local culinary talent with unique spaces that tell a story,” Licsi said. “Hosting the event at the Canadian Tank Museum allows us to offer guests an experience that blends culture, history, and cuisine in a way that can only happen here.”

Early bird tickets for Boujee Bites 2026 are available for $60 + HST until March 31; afterward, ticket prices will rise to $70 + HST. There are limited tickets available.

Boujee Bites has become a signature event for Oshawa Tourism, celebrated for reimagining local spaces while highlighting community spirit and culinary talent through curated experiences – showcasing what can happen when a community comes together.
