We are deeply saddened to share that Annette Blanche Durham from Melville has passed away. Annette bravely faced many challenges throughout her life, but she could not win this latest fight. She peacefully entered her eternal rest on Monday, January 5, 2026, surrounded by family. Her courage and calm demeanor during this time were truly remarkable.
Born to Helen and Wilfred Tremblay on July 17, 1935, in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, Annette was the middle child with an older sister named Adeline and a younger sister named Lauraine.
Annette attended school in Renaud, Saskatchewan and left home after completing grade 8. She moved to Saskatoon where she began working at Safeway, where she met Tom. On September 8, 1958, Annette married Thomas Durham in Renaud.
For many years, Annette dedicated herself to raising their six children at home. After a few years in Melville, she took on a role as the librarian at St. Henry’s Junior High School. Additionally, she started a business selling silk plants through Totally Tropical at home parties.
A devoted wife and mother, Annette’s life revolved around her faith. She was actively involved in her church community at St. Henry’s as a CWL member, sacristan, communion minister, lector and held many other responsibilities. Everyone knew her warm smile and welcoming hugs.
Annette is survived by her husband of 67 years Tom; her children Donna (deceased) (Brant); Jacine (Darren); Wesley; Jordan (Taryn); Chandler (Elizaveta); Mervin (Rena); Brenda (Jim); their children: Matthew (Carrington), who had children Stella and Calder; Amie (Scott), who had children Sloan, Nathaniel and Ivy; Shawn (Yvonne); Scott (Stephanie) and Angela (Chad), along with child Ryan; Dale (Tracy); Brian Durham (deceased) and Sharon Durham (Deceased) (Chris), with child Austin.
She was predeceased by three of her six children: Donna Marie Gyug, Brian Joseph Durham and Sharon Dehlia Durham.
