Alberta, known as “Alby,” Agostini (Tolfa), at the age of 87, joined her husband Domenico (1976) on the evening of February 17th, 2026.

She was a loving mother to Annarita (Pepe) Palitti, Roberto Agostini (Paula), Angela (Dino) De Simone, and Romano (Deborah) Agostini. Alberta was a proud Nonna to Domenico (Ashley), Sabrina (Mikey), Francesca, Domenica (Mitchell), Connor, Kiara, Cristian, Noah, Massimo, and Giada. She was also a Bis Nonna to Ella, Mia, Ariana, Vivienne, and Banks.

She had a special bond with her siblings Giuliana (Tony), Enrica, and Leonilda. As a sister-in-law to Romano, Mario (Liza), Pina (Alberto) Viola, and Liliana (Amilcare) Grippa, she created lasting memories. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family from Italy, Canada, England, and the United States will miss her dearly.

Born in Supino, Frosinone in Italy to Augusta and Leonardo. She spent her early years surrounded by her sisters before moving to Canada in 1959 to reunite with the love of her life. During that journey to North America she brought along strong values of family connection and tradition that shaped not just her life but ours as well.

Nonna made everyone feel truly loved and welcome no matter how large our family became with daughters-in-law or friends of friends joining us. She always made us feel like we were her “number one.” In her later years she found joy in simple pleasures; watching Italian soap operas and enjoying good company. Alby’s cooking talents were a true gift for all of us. Her traditional meals-like the savory baccalà on Christmas Eve or homemade bread-were filled with love. We will never forget her warmth or unconditional love. We’ll carry forward her spirit through kindness and strength along with sharing her delicious recipes.

Family and friends can visit Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234) on Monday February 23rd from 12pm – 2pm with a memorial service starting at 2pm right after. Donations in Alberta’s honor can be made to Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
