Students, job seekers, parents, and anyone interested in skilled trades are welcome to the Simcoe County Skilled Trades Fair on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Georgian College’s Midland campus.
This event provides a great chance to learn about careers in high-demand skilled trades, connect with industry professionals, and get hands-on experience. Attendees can check out employer exhibits, visit service provider booths, participate in a job and apprenticeship fair, and join panel discussions with experts.

9 a. m. to 1:30 p. m. – open to students in grades 9-12
Community & Job Seekers Session:
3 to 7 p. m. – Free entry for everyone; no registration needed.
Panel Discussions:
4 to 4:45 p. m. – Ask the Experts Live podcast, hosted by SM Skillforce 5 to 5:45 p. m. – Blueprint For Success: What Skilled Trades Employers Want You to Know 6 to 6:45 p. m. – Building Your Best Life: Conversations with Skilled Trades Professionals
Employers who want to participate must be associated with provincially recognized trades. Registration for employers closes on March 31.
This community-centered fair aims to connect future skilled trades workers with the resources, knowledge, and connections necessary for success in these sought-after careers.
