Queen St in Kingston was voted third-worst in Eastern Ontario in 2025.

Queen St in Kingston is expected to be a top contender for the title of Ontario’s worst road in 2026.

The CAA Worst Roads Campaign is back for its 23rd year, allowing drivers across Ontario to point out roads that really need fixing.

CAA government relations consultant Brian Pirvu mentions that highlighting these problematic roads has led to some infrastructure funding and necessary repairs being made.

Poorly maintained roads and potholes can make driving uncomfortable and can also cause various issues for your vehicle, such as tire damage and suspension problems. Sometimes your alignment might get messed up too.

Pirvu emphasizes that the state of a road isn’t only about comfort while driving.

Pirvu notes that while most survey responses will come from drivers using the roads, it’s open to different groups as well.

In 2025, Aberdeen Road in Hamilton took the title of worst road in Ontario, while rankings across the province identified 50 roads needing urgent attention.

Queen St in Kingston made it into the Top 5 for Eastern Ontario. County Road 49 in Prince Edward County was ranked number one in that region and third overall in Ontario.
