County of Simcoe Paramedic Services (CSPS) recently held its annual Commencement and Honours Ceremony, an event aimed at recognizing the accomplishments and progress of its team members. The ceremony saw the addition of 33 new recruits, honored 29 employees who are moving up in their careers, and acknowledged seven individuals receiving Chief’s Commendations for exceptional service. A standout moment of the event was the presentation of the Legacy Award, CSPS’s highest internal honor, awarded to Advanced Care Paramedic Cory Schepers, highlighting the outstanding skill, dedication, and commitment present within the service. CSPS has a diverse group of full- and part-time Advanced and Primary Care Paramedics, Supervisors, and administrative staff. Together, they deliver emergency medical responses and crucial community support to residents throughout Simcoe County, operating 42 ambulances and Rapid Response Units during peak periods.
