St. Thomas, Ont., police are looking into a situation after discovering bullet holes in a home in the southwest area early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the vicinity of Erie Street and Talequah Street just after 1 a. m. ET when neighbors reported hearing gunfire and found signs of shooting.

“At this time, police believe this was a targeted incident, with no threat to public safety,” police said in a statement.

No injuries have been reported.

Authorities mentioned they would remain present in the area as their investigation continues and ask that the public stay clear.

If anyone has information or video footage related to the incident, they are encouraged to contact the St. Thomas Police Service.
