A man has died following an industrial accident in Vaughan on Thursday, according to York police.

Officers arrived at the scene of the accident around noon on Thursday on Applewood Crescent, police stated in an emailed update.

A man was declared dead at the scene after being evaluated by paramedics who were present.

Police mentioned that the Ministry of Labour is looking into the situation.

A representative for the Ministry of Labour indicated in an emailed statement that they were made aware of an incident involving Plastic and Paper Sales Inc.

They noted that a worker had become trapped between materials, but no further information is available as the investigation continues.
