Durham Region is informing residents about upcoming road closures on Anderson Street in Whitby.

On November 14, Anderson Street will be shut down from Rossland Road East to Taunton Road East for one day, depending on the weather.

Then on November 17, Anderson Street will close from Taunton Road East to Conlin Road for one day, also weather permitting.

The closure is necessary to ensure safety during road paving work.

Local traffic will still be able to access the area during these closures. Detour routes will be clearly marked ahead of time.

The Region recognizes that this work may cause some disruption and will do its best to finish the project as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Drivers are encouraged to be cautious for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and construction crews.
