We are heartbroken to share that Pauline Glena passed away on January 7, 2026, in Thunder Bay.
Pauline was born in North Bay, Ontario, on November 5, 1954. She grew up and went to school in Eastern Ontario. In 1981, she moved to Thunder Bay, where she met and married her husband, Ron Glena. Before settling into a long role as an Executive Office Assistant at the Blake Funeral Chapel, Pauline held various jobs throughout her career until she retired.
A proud Westfort resident for more than 35 years, Pauline was very involved in her community. She was part of the Westfort Prosvita Society, an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 129), and actively participated at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Catholic Women’s League. Cooking, knitting, gardening, and caring for her dogs-Bear, Bandit, Brandy, Buddy, and Alphie-brought her great happiness. Most importantly, she loved her family deeply and will be remembered for the laughter she shared with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ron; brother John; sister Jean; and sister-in-law Victoria. Pauline is survived by her sons Fred Clement (Lana) and Don Nadon (Jenn); grandchildren Connor (Rebecca), Olivia, Thomas, Justin, Jessica, Jonathon, and Jacob; along with great-grandson Cooper. Many cousins as well as nieces and nephews also survive her.
The funeral service will take place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Msgr. Pat Stilla officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM before the service begins. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thunder Bay Humane Society.
