It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the respected Abdul Rashid Choudhri Sahib from Brampton West Jamā‘at – Halqa Peel Village, who left us on March 19, 2026 at the age of 91.

Abdul Rashid Choudhri Sahib was born to Hazrat Master Chiragh Muhammad Sahib (ra) and was the grandson of Hazrat Ch. Amir Buksh (ra), both revered companions of the Promised Messiah (as). He lived as an exemplary Ahmadi, showing lifelong commitment, sincerity, and a profound bond with Jama‘at and Khilafat. During the Lahore riots in 1953, he narrowly escaped being stabbed when a military truck unexpectedly arrived and caused the mob to scatter. He had a deep love for God and was known for his kindness, humility, and respect towards everyone. Many dreams he shared with family members came true, showcasing his strong spiritual ties.
May Allah grant Maghfirat to him and raise his spiritual rank in paradise! Amen! May Allah also bestow His mercy upon those mourning this loss and provide them comfort and strength to endure it patiently! Amen!
