A woman was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run incident in Oakville on Friday morning, and authorities are seeking assistance to find the vehicle involved.

Halton Regional Police reported that officers responded to the intersection of Dundas Street East and Oak Park Boulevard shortly after 11 a. m., where the woman was hit by a passing car. The driver left the scene without stopping.

The victim, who is 67 years old, was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. There hasn’t been any update on her condition from the police.

Investigators are urging anyone who saw the incident or has dash cam or security footage from that area between 11 a. m. and 11:20 a. m. to reach out to Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4777.

People can also provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
