A resident from Mississauga has been charged after a Norfolk County OPP officer was hurt while investigating a domestic violence case.

On Sunday, Nov. 16 just before 5 p. m., officers responded to a report of a conflict between two individuals at a home in Norfolk County. According to the police, an officer was physically attacked while trying to help. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
A 35-year-old individual is facing charges for obstructing a peace officer; assaulting a peace officer; and making threats – to cause death or bodily harm.

Charges filed related to domestic violence
A 30-year-old man from Oxford County is facing multiple charges stemming from an incident of intimate partner violence at a residence in Norfolk County.

The police were called to the residence on Nov. 14 shortly after 7:30 p. m., where they found two individuals involved in an altercation. One person assaulted the other, stole items, damaged property and made threats according to police reports. No injuries were noted.
The accused faces charges including assault – spousal; mischief – domestic; uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm – spousal; and theft under $5,000.
A driver involved in a single-car crash is charged with impaired driving.
A young man from Norfolk County who is just 19 years old has been charged with drinking and driving following a single-car accident that occurred on Nov.14 along Concession 12 near Townsend outside Simcoe.</
The officers from Norfolk County OPP responded around9:16 p. m.Officers determined that the vehicle had veered off the road into a ditch before hittinga tree.
No injuries were reported and the driver was taken into custody without any issues...</
The driver now faces charges for impaired driving as well as exceeding legal alcohol limits and dangerous driving. His next court date is set for Dec.2 in Simcoe’s Ontario Court of Justice.
Barns targeted
The Norfolk County OPP is advising residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity after two barns on Fisher’s Glen Road in Vittoria were broken into.
P olice arrived at Vittoria around4:31 p. m.on Nov15th. Upon investigation , they discovered that both barns had been entered.
