Two men have been arrested after eight high-end vehicles were taken from an Oakville, Ont., leasing business earlier this month, police west of Toronto report.

In the early hours of Jan. 11, several masked individuals dressed in dark clothing broke into a Lockwood Leasing on South Service Road W., according to Halton police in a news release on Monday.

The front window was shattered while the building was empty, allowing suspects to access a lock box that held car keys, police said. Eight luxury cars were then driven off the lot, which included a Ferrari, two Porsches, three Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and two BMWs.

On Jan. 12, Peel Regional Police contacted investigators about the recovery of a Porsche 911, which led to the arrest of two men, as stated in the release. Halton investigators linked these men to the thefts in Oakville.

The two men, both 24 years old and hailing from Mississauga and Victoria Harbour, have been charged with breaking and entering as well as disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence. They face additional charges from Peel police due to their arrests there, according to the release.

Authorities mentioned they have recovered four other stolen vehicles related to this incident. The Ferrari, a BMW, a Mercedes, and a Porsche were found unoccupied and abandoned in the Greater Toronto Area.

Police previously estimated that the total value of the eight stolen vehicles is around $2 million.

Halton investigators are still searching for other suspects and missing vehicles. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to come forward or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
