PARRY SOUND – A 31-year-old man from Kitchener is facing multiple charges after a construction company in Parry Sound was cheated out of over $40,000, according to provincial police.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported that the West Parry Sound crime unit began an investigation on July 17, 2025, following a complaint from the local construction business.

As per the police report, an eight-month investigation showed that the company had paid several invoices that were later discovered to be fraudulent, leading to losses exceeding $40,000.

Lawson Enyedike, 31, from Kitchener, Ont., was arrested and charged with fraud over $5,000, using or dealing with forged documents, forgery, and identity fraud.

He is set to appear in front of the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on April 30.

The police did not reveal the name of the affected company in their statement.
