A person has been charged with first-degree homicide in reference to a capturing that befell final August in a driveway in Vaughan, Ont., York police say.
A 33-year-old man from Barrie was arrested final week and charged in reference to the demise of 57-year-old Jorge-Ivan Navas, police mentioned in a information launch Wednesday. He was arrested final week.
Round 2 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2024, police say they responded to stories of gunfire within the space of Islington and Kiloran avenues. Officers discovered Navas in his driveway, affected by gunshot wounds. He later died in hospital.
Investigators realized that two suspects had been driving a stolen black F-150. Police say a minimum of one suspect stays excellent. The car has since been recovered, police say.
The investigation is ongoing.
