THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Thunderbolts Swim Membership held their second meet of the 12 months on the Canada Video games Complicated on the weekend.

Six groups from round Northwestern Ontario have been in attendance, together with two Thunder Bay groups, a Fort Frances group, an Atikokan group, a Dryden group and a Pink Lake group.

Officers stated swimmers needed to compete in an extended course, a 100-metre size from dive block to bulk-head and again to dive block.

Laura Dennis, the Thunderbolts’ official chair, was on the meet administration committee and the meet supervisor. With their youngest swimmer within the competitors being seven, she stated ages ranged from seven to 24.

“The swimmers, you can tell there’s lots of energy. They’re very excited,” stated Dennis.

“We’ve got swimmers who are trying to make qualifying times to go to provincial and national meets. The Ontario Age Groups is a provincial competition that takes place in March and so a lot of swimmers here today are trying to make their qualifying times for that as well as the nationals in April.”

The CDC sponsored the occasion with appetizers from Kelseys Unique Roadhouse and occasional from Twin Metropolis Refreshments.
