Emma Calvert brings a wealth of expertise centered on the planning, improvement and development of a multi-modal transportation system and stormwater community.

The Metropolis of Mississauga is happy to announce Emma Calvert because the Metropolis’s Director of Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Providers, efficient December 19, 2024.

On this function, Calvert will report back to the Commissioner of Transportation and Works overseeing key areas such because the Metropolis’s Capital Works, Environmental Providers (together with Stormwater Administration), Transportation Infrastructure Administration and Transportation Planning. Collectively, these areas concentrate on the planning, improvement and development of a multi-modal transportation system and stormwater community.

With greater than a decade of expertise with the Metropolis, most lately because the Performing Director and Supervisor main the Growth, Engineering and Building staff, Calvert’s management has been important in addressing the aftermath of this previous summer season’s storms. Her efforts in delivering monetary reduction applications and growing future motion plans have been vital. She has additionally performed a key function in main developments alongside Mississauga’s waterfront, together with Lakeview Village and Brightwater. Previous to becoming a member of the Metropolis, Calvert held progressive management roles with environmental engineering consulting firms in each British Columbia and Ontario.

Calvert holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s College and a Masters Certificates in Municipal Management from the Schulich College of Enterprise. She is a member of the Skilled Engineers of Ontario, the Ontario Public Works Affiliation and the Municipal Engineers Affiliation, the place she can be a part of the Growth Engineering Committee.
