The household of Greg Schick beloved husband of Myrna of Yorkton sadly announce his passing on Wednesday, January 2, 2025. He was 68 years of age.

Funeral Providers will probably be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from Zion Lutheran Church in Yorkton with Pastor Kai Buck officiating.

Gregory David Schick, age 68, of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, handed away on January 2, 2025. He was born on April 29, 1956, in Melville, Saskatchewan, to David and Rose Schick. He was the eldest of 8 youngsters. 

 

Greg farmed together with his household within the Atwater, Saskatchewan space and attended faculty in Fertile Belt, Glyndor, Atwater, and Esterhazy. He started working at Morris Industries in 1972 and moved to Yorkton the next yr. He finally started working with Bailey’s Funeral House, which launched him to the career of funeral directing.

 

He first met his spouse Myrna on June 2, 1972, marrying her on Could 19, 1974. They celebrated their fiftieth marriage ceremony anniversary this previous Could. They’ve three daughters, Tanya, Keeley, and Larissa.

 

In 1990, Greg and his household moved to Regina, Saskatchewan. He grew to become a licensed funeral director in 1993 and started working with Lee Funeral House. He labored there for nearly 14 years, holding the place of supervisor earlier than accepting a brand new position with Christie’s Funeral House and returning to Yorkton in 2003. Greg remained a licensed funeral director, embalmer and key member of Christie’s till his passing.

Greg was a loving husband, dad, father-in-law and grandpa.  He actually loved spending time with all three of his granddaughters. The adventures he created with them will final a lifetime.

 

Greg is survived by his spouse, Myrna Schick (Kitsch), youngsters, Tanya Jaques (Byron), Keeley Schick, Larissa Schick, grandchildren, Rachel Jaques, Ava Jaques, Nicole Jaques, mom, Rose Schick, his 7 siblings, their companions, and plenty of nieces, nephews and their companions and youngsters. 

 

He was preceded in demise by his father, David Schick and daughter, Tammie Schick.
