The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have introduced the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine after executing a search warrant in Amherstview.

The OPP East Area Group Road Crime Unit arrested and charged two individuals consequently, police mentioned of the incident, which occurred within the Amherstivew space of Loyalist Township, simply west of Kingston in Lennox and Addington County.

In keeping with police, officers with the Road Crime Unit executed the search warrant at a residence on Huff Avenue on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. The Road Crime Unit was assisted by members of the Loyalist Township OPP Detachment, the OPP Emergency Response Staff, and the OPP Canine Unit, and police additionally performed a visitors cease on a automobile on Amherst Drive, in accordance with a press launch issued by the OPP the next day.

Police didn’t say what time of day the warrant execution and visitors cease occurred.

The OPP detailed that officers seized virtually 28 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 46 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and greater than 43 grams of suspected cocaine.

“Officers also seized a vehicle and items typically associated with drug trafficking,” the OPP East Area mentioned.

In keeping with police, on account of the investigation, two individuals had been arrested and charged as follows.

Darcy Hartwick, a 22-year-old from South Frontenac Township, was charged with:

Raven Hatfield, a 37-year-old from Loyalist Township, was charged with:

The OPP mentioned that each Hartwick and Hatfield had been held for bail hearings, the outcomes of which weren’t disclosed.
