It’s with deep disappointment that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, nice GGP, and nice nice GGPA, Thomas Hixon Savage on January 18, 2025.
Born in Belfast, Eire November 21, 1928. Son of Thomas Hixon Savage and Martha Foy Turkington.
Tom had an unlimited and various profession. Previous Chairman Abbey Life Insurance coverage Firm, Canada. Previously Chief Industrial Engineer, Union Carbide, Dunlop Canada, W.J. Gage & Firm and Hallmark Greeting Playing cards. Previous member: Enterprise Council on Nationwide Points; Chairman of the Advisory Board and Life Member of the Canadian Institute of Administration, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Westpark Hospital. Former Chairman ITT Canada 1970-1993. Senior Officer Canada ITT Corp 1978-1993.
Tom was an energetic board member and Chairman of the Board for Samuel and Son, which spanned into a few years of his retirement.
Named Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1990 for his dedication to the Northern Eire Partnership in Canada and for being Director of the Canadian Eire Fund and his function in supporting the Boys and Ladies Membership.
