An officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was despatched to hospital after the cruiser they had been travelling was concerned in a collision with one other automobile on Christmas evening, in line with police.

The OPP officer with the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County detachment was on the job, “responding to a priority call” and “attempting to locate a suspect’s vehicle” on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, police stated. The officer was driving on Bridge Road West in Higher Napanee when, at roughly 6 p.m., the collision occurred, the L&A OPP stated in a press launch on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024.
