Vaughan Metropolitan Centre anticipated to succeed in inhabitants of 90,000 in coming years, police say

York Regional Police have opened a brand new substation to serve the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) neighborhood, anticipated to succeed in a inhabitants of 90,000 within the coming years.

Situated at 100 New Park Place, within the space of highways 7 and 400, the brand new 4,800-square-foot. substation opened Sept. 24.

In a information launch, YRP described the station as “a vivid workplace house the place members of the neighborhood can work together with cops, file studies, obtain crime prevention data and ask questions in regards to the service or policing usually”.

The substation, the third within the area, is part of #4 District.

Police stated it will likely be staffed Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and can function just like the substations in Whitchurch-Stouffville and King, police stated.

The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre finally may even embrace 820,000 sq. ft. of workplace house, creating jobs and housing for York Area, YRP stated.
