1 District Detectives (St. Catharines/Thorold) with the Niagara Regional Police Service are persevering with to research the alleged arson that happened on Sept. 12, 2024 at roughly 3:22 a.m., within the space of Lock Avenue and Lakeport Street within the Metropolis of St. Catharines.
Because of the investigation, detectives have decided that the suspect car was final seen travelling north on Lakeport Street passing in entrance of Castillo Shawarma, via the intersection of Lakeport Street and Lock Avenue.
The suspect car stopped on the intersection of Essential Avenue and Lock Avenue then travelled north and stopped on the nook of Dalhousie Avenue and Lock Avenue. Right now, two suspects exited the car, walked southbound on Lock Avenue and the motive force remained with the car.
One of many two suspects that exited the car was noticed carrying a pink jerry fuel can and each suspects are noticed strolling on the crosswalk from Lock Avenue to Lakeport Street to Castillo Shawarma and setting it on hearth.
All three suspects acquired again into the car and fled southwest on Dalhousie Avenue.
The suspect car is described as:
4 Door Sedan
Mat black or darkish gray in shade
HID (Excessive-Depth Discharge) entrance head lights
The instrument panel on the inside of the car was illuminated in blue lights

Grey jacket with black sleeves

Carrying the pink jerry can

There was nobody within the restaurant on the time of the incident.
Detectives imagine that the suspects might have attended a fuel station previous to the incident and are requesting help from companies to evaluation their cameras for footage within the hours main as much as the incident.
Detectives have decided that there have been witnesses and autos within the space on the time of the incident. Detectives need to communicate to those witnesses.
This seems to be a focused incident.
