PETERBOROUGH- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Peterborough County / Northumberland Group Avenue Crime Unit (CSCU) have charged 4 folks in relation to an ongoing trafficking investigation.

On Wednesday January 22, 2025, members of the Peterborough/Northumberland CSCU made an arrest of two people throughout a suspected drug transaction. The people had been searched and officers seized 40.9 grams of Fentanyl and seven grams of crack cocaine in keeping with police.

Police say officers additional executed a search warrant of a location within the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan and additional seized 23 grams of cocaine, 9.9 grams of crack cocaine, 118 Percocet, drug packaging, digital scales, and $8,010 in Canadian forex. Through the search, a 3rd individual, at the moment needed by the Peterborough Police Service (PPS), was situated and turned over to them.

A second search warrant was executed at a location in Peterborough Metropolis the place a fourth (4th) individual was situated and arrested. 61-year-old John Foote of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

·      Possession of Proceeds obtained by Crime Over $5000

The accused was held for Bail to seem earlier than the Ontario Court docket of Justice in Peterborough.

38-year-old Patrick Middleton of Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Possession for the Goal of Trafficking – Schedule I substance – Opioid (aside from heroin)

Jessica Needham, age 37, of Peterborough, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·      Possession for the Goal of Trafficking – Schedule I substance – Opioid (aside from heroin)

·      Possession for the Goal of Trafficking – Schedule I substance – Cocaine

·      Possession of Proceeds obtained by Crime Over $5000

Each these accused are scheduled to seem earlier than the Ontario Court docket of Justice in Peterborough on February 18, 2025.

A fourth accused, a 45-year-old from Peterborough, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Goal of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of proceeds obtained by Crime Beneath $5000

The accused is scheduled to seem earlier than the Ontario Court docket of Justice in Peterborough at a later date.
