Metropolis of Guelph opens expanded Elliot Lengthy Time period Care Residence

The Authorities of Ontario and the Metropolis of Guelph celebrated the opening of the newly renovated The Elliott Lengthy Time period Care Residence, a 114-bed dwelling.

The brand new development has added 29 new beds to the prevailing 85 beds to raised serve Guelph residents. This venture is a part of the federal government’s dedication to constructing 58,000 new and upgraded long-term care areas throughout the province.

“Congratulations to the team at The Elliott Long Term Care Residence on all the hard work that went into opening this expanded home,” stated Tyler Allsopp, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Lengthy-Time period Care. “Our government is building new and redeveloped beds so all long-term care residents can get the care they need from the comfort of their own home. Today marks an important milestone for the people of Guelph and the future residents who now have a new place to call home.”

Operated by the Metropolis of Guelph, the house is a part of a campus of care that features a retirement dwelling and impartial dwelling. These buildings, together with the long-term care dwelling, are related to a group centre hub which is accessible to all residents and their households.
