Wasaga Seashore resident arrested in human trafficking probe

Police have arrested one other three folks as a part of a human trafficking investigation that started in Innisfil.

In Could, South Simcoe police acquired a report of a feminine being held in a house in Innisfil for the aim of offering sexual providers.

Undertaking Chameleon was launched and, with the assistance of police in Barrie and York Area, search warrants have been executed at two residences in November. Three folks have been arrested and three females have been safely faraway from one of many houses. A fourth suspect needed on a warrant surrendered to police on Nov. 20. 

South Simcoe police introduced Thursday that they had arrested three extra folks.

Hung Lam, 54, of Wasaga Seashore, has been charged with trafficking in individuals.

Joseph Carvalho, 44, of Newmarket, has been charged with trafficking in individuals, promoting sexual providers, and possession of a managed substance for the aim of trafficking.

Edgar Martinez, 36, of Innisfil, has been charged with trafficking in individuals and procuring.

All three accused are being held in custody.
