A 16-year-old boy was taken to a trauma centre after he was hit by a automobile whereas strolling on a sidewalk in St. Catharines, police say.
Niagara Regional Police mentioned that the automobile then left the scene.
On Monday at 4:33 p.m., emergency crews responded to the collision on Carlton Avenue between Roehampton and Grantham avenues, police mentioned.
“Upon arrival, officers determined a collision occurred involving a white Kia Soul and a pedestrian who was walking west on the Carlton Street sidewalk,” police mentioned.
“The pedestrian, a 16-year-old male resident of the City of St. Catharines was assessed at the scene and transported by paramedics to an out-of-region trauma centre for medical care.”
The Kia Soul was final seen heading west on Carlton Avenue, police mentioned, including that witnesses indicated the automobile was within the space previous to the collision.
