A joint site visitors security initiative involving industrial automobiles on the Blue Water Bridge has resulted in over a dozen charges being laid.
Lambton OPP partnered with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and the Federal Bridge Company.
On Wednesday, January 8, officers performed 9 industrial car inspections.
OPP mentioned 13 charges had been laid for improper use of a border method lane, hours of service non-compliance, window tint exceeding authorized limits, and expired Industrial Automobile Operator Registration.
Provincial police are reminding industrial drivers to at all times use the right method lane when travelling throughout the border, comply with posted indicators, and stay within the designated lane to assist make crossings secure and environment friendly.
